"Hello there." As much as Ethan creeps me out, that was the most memorable moment of a LOST character saying hello, at least for me. Anyway, I've been a LOST fan since the very beginning. I saw the ads for it, I believe, in the spring or summer before it premiered. When I saw Dominic Monaghan - whose character asked his fellow castaways, "Guys, where are we?" - I got hooked! You see, I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan (actually, the entire mythology, not only the book and the three movies). And when I learned that one of the actors is Canadian (Evangeline Lilly), I thought, "I should watch this." You see, I'm Canadian - although I wasn't born in Canada. It's interesting that the two actors that got me to watch LOST are now engaged to be married (as the reports say). Anyway, I'm Janice, formerly from Marikina (a Manila suburb), Philippines. I live in Langley, British Columbia, Canada - which is a suburb of Vancouver. I'm an accountant by day, writer by night, and LOST fan all the time. I have the Seasons 1 and 2 DVDs (and I intend to buy all the succeeding DVDs, even if my condo fund suffers!). I also bought the Season 2 CD out of a whim. I also bought the unofficial guide to LOST, written by Nikki Stafford ("Finding Lost"). What got me even more hooked is the writing of every episode. Almost all episodes have been written brilliantly. Every Wednesday, I sit in front of the TV, trying my best to keep breathing while LOST is on. Only when the show breaks for commercial can I stand up and drink water or tea or eat something. And then when it's back on, my eyes are glued to the TV as I try to guess what's going to happen at the end of the episode. At 11 PST/PDT (I watch the US broadcast, because everyone else in my family watches American Idol on Wednesdays), I sit on the couch, my Shih Tzu puppy staring at my gaping mouth, and my head spinning from the conclusion of the episode. The next day (Thursday), I'm late for work and not able to concentrate much on my job because my head has not stopped spinning. I just can't wait for Season 4. With the flash-forwards, I'm sure I'll be more hooked.
