Synopsis: Sawyer is keeping all important supplies to himself, including Shannon's asthma medicine. After refusing to hand over the medicine so Shannon can be treated, Sayid puts his Republican Guard experience to use, and begins to unsuccessfully torture Sawyer in order to find Sawyer's stash. Most of the survivors move to the caves, believing them to be safer than the beach. Sayid is ashamed of relying on his torture skills, and decides to leave the group to live alone in the jungle.

Flashback: We learn more about Sawyer's background as a con artist. This guy is good and his sad past explains a lot about his conniving ways on the island.

OMG Moment: Sawyer insists Kate must kiss him in order to get the medicine he is hoarding, and she takes on that demand with passionate gusto.
