Synopsis: Boone is badly injured and Jack is determined to do everything he can to save him. At the same time, Claire goes into labor, which forces Kate and Charlie to perform the delivery. In Boone's delirium, he tells Jack about Locke and the hatch. Despite all attempts to save him, Boone dies in Jack's care just as Claire gives birth to a healthy baby boy.

Flashback: In a flashback, we see Jack struggle with his decision to marry a former patient (the woman he saved from the fatal car crash).

OMG Moment:

• Boone's dies after asking Jack not to cut off his leg, and to let go.
• Claire has the dead!baby.

• What will Jack do now that he knows about the hatch?

• Jack is more like Locke then he realises. This is revealed after he angrily yells at Sun, "Don't tell me what I can't do!"
