On Island Events: Ben wakes up and tells Locke that he came back to the island to be judged by the smoke monster. Locke and Ben begin to take one of the canoes, but Caesar comes to stop them. Locke begins to argue with Caesar, so Caesar reaches for his gun. Caesar realizes that his gun is missing, and Ben pulls it out and shoots Caesar. Then Locke and Ben leave on the canoe.

They arrive on the main island and go to the barracks. There, they find Frank and Sun, who say that Christian Shepard told them to stay until Locke arrives. Frank leaves to go back to the smaller island, but Sun stays with Locke and Ben. Ben attempts to summon the monster, but it doesn't come. Then Locke suggests that they go to it, and he leads them to the temple.

When they arrive at they temple, Locke shows Ben a hole that goes under the temple. This hole is the same one that the monster dragged one of the French people down. Ben and Locke go down the hole. As Ben walks through the tunnel, the floor collapses and he falls into a chamber bellow. The smoke monster comes and surrounds Ben, and images from Ben past appear on the smoke. When the last image is gone, the smoke leaves. Then, Alex appears and tells Ben not to kill Locke or else she will kill him. Then she disapears.


Off Island Events: Ben went to the dock where Desmond's boat was. As he approached the boat, Desmond stood up behind him and yelled "What are you doing here?" Ben turned around and shot Desmond, then continued to walk towards Penny. He explained who he was and why he was going to shoot her, and then Charlie Hume came out of the boat. Penny was begging Ben to not hurt Charlie, and then Desmond tackled Ben and beat him up. Desmond rolled Ben into the water, and Ben got away.

Trivia:


Theories: "What lies in the shadow of the statue?" could be referring to the Orchid, which is near the four toed statue. When the statue was at its full height, its statue could've stretched as far as the Orchid's current location. So, the answer to Ilana's question could be either the Orchid or the frozen wheel. ---BenGman
