Anonymous Theory: The Best Lost Theory With Numbers

Poking Holes: Why the Others wouldn't have just killed him? (They were unbearably close to killing off Charlie; with reference to the following "support" point --mbm2007--) I also doubt that they would brainwash him. And if they would, they'd wash him good.
Support: The Others didn't kill him just like they haven't and didn't kill Walt, Michael, Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sawyer. They brainwashed Claire, so why wouldn't they brainwash him? And remember how Claire started to remember things. Well, so did he.

I wonder if this means anything to anyone:
LOST=12 15 19 20 That is how the letters in LOST correlate in the alphabet. Also notice that in the correct spelling of LOST, the numbers are still in chronological order. May not sound like much, but I like numbers, and I find that interesting. The lottery numbers are 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. 15 is the only number in the lottery number and in the chronological spelling of LOST. 4 PLUS 8 is 12. 42 MINUS 23 is 19. So that takes care of 12, 15, and 19. I did not want to have to use sets of numbers twice but I had to, to come up with 20. The easiest solution is: 16 PLUS 4 is 20. Somehow, the where the letters used to make up the name LOST, chronologically in the alphabet are related to the numbers from the lottery, the hatch, etc. I know you could come up with a million theories on the lottery numbers, but I haven’t read this one yet. What do you guys think? |

I dont know if your theory that he worked for Dharma might be right... but the brainwashing part kinda makes sense. Mainly because a few episodes back, we found that the others were brainwashing Alex's boy friend. Remember, they locked him to a chair in a room play loud techno music and flashing random colors and images all day and night. Maybe, the Dharma people or the others somehow discovered that Sam intercepted the transmission and learned about the numbers (or maybe even what they mean) so they at some point kidnapped him and brainwashed him to assure that their meaning would never be discovered.

When Hurley goes to see Lenny about the numbers, Lenny tells him that Sam, a man he was working for, told him the numbers. We then learn that Sam was stationed at a listing post moneriting long wave transmitions over the Pacific. After years of static, he heres the numbers in the static. It doesn't sound like he is part of Dharma. It sounds like he got caught in the middle of what ever Dharma is doing, just like the survivors.

If you remember Hurley's explanation of the numbers though, he says that that guy heard them while in the Navy, stationed at some remote listening post in the Pacific. (presumably he heard the transmission from the Island itself)

hi from watching all the movies that were made last year, the ones discussing darma and hanso corp... anyway in those video's there is links made to the scientists working for hanso being the cleverist people in the world, they are intended to be working out a theory for the numbers. Now in the films the girl "Rachel Blake" talks to a guy that owns a mental institute where allt he scientist are being kept, its like a cover up. Maybe the guy hurley met had just gone mad from only ever discussing the numbers, and they left him in the institute.
Thats my theory, Luke |
