Bad Twin, by Gary Troup, is a suspenseful mystery novel. It is about Paul Artisan, who is a private investigator who is hired by Clifford Widmore. The Widmore family is a wealthy family that is owned by Aurthur Widmore. (The Widmore family mentioned in the book is different from the one in Lost). He wants Paul to find his missing brother, Alexander (a.k.a. Zander), who is his twin. Alexander has a bad reputation, and is seen as the bad twin. Paul travel across the world in search of Alexander. Paul get advice from his friend Manny Weiss, a retired professor. A simple search and rescue mission turns out to become more complex than first anticipated with many surprising twists.

Bad Twin was ghostwritten by Laurence Shames. It was published by Hyperion Publishing on May 2, 2006.


In Lost: Gary Troup is one of the passengers on Flight 815. He died when he was sucked into the turbine. In "The Long Con", Hurley reads the manuscript for Bad Twin. In "Two For the Road", Sawyer was reading the manuscript, but Jack burnt the last few pages.
