Are "The Others" related to the Dharma Scientists? Could "The Others" have something to do with the hatches/stations located all over the island? Are "The Others" the aged Dharma scientists, looking for children to develop the population and carry on making and finishing experiments? Where the heck is Greg?

The Others could be the Dharma scientists who wished to stay after there was a "dangerous accident".

In "The Man Behind the Curtain", we find out the connection between Dharma and the Others. Dharma came to the island in the 60's. They were a group of scientists doing research on the island's unique magnetism and other experiments. The Others were a group of "natives" known as the hostiles. How long the Others have been on the island, we do not know. One day, the Others did a purge on Dharma. They killed all the Dharma members and took over the entire island. Ben used to be part of Dharma, but joined the Others.
