The fifth season of Lost aired on Wednesdays at 9PM. The premiere was on January 21st, with the season finale on May 13th. It was originally planned to have 16 hours of episodes, but due to the writers strike during Season 4, this season will have 17 hours.

In Season 5, the survivors left on the Island feel the effects of the Island moving through time. Meanwhile, the Oceanic 6 must come back to the Island in order to save those left behind. After the Oceanic 6 return to the Island on Flight 316, the survivors are split in two different times, present time, and 1977, along with the Dharma Initiative.
