Garden of Eden
The LOST island is the Garden of Eden.
LOST souls are taken to the garden until their final judgement is decided by god.
Eden was hidden during Noah's Flood and it is therefore impossible to place the Garden anywhere in post-flood geography. A "submarine" is required to get to Eden, and the crossover to Eden is "bumpy"
The "others" are angels and help people pass from earth to Eden. The children were taken early on because they are the innocent. The black shadow is death.
Adam and Eve, dead in a cave.
Ben while talking to loch says "we are moving to a new place... well actually an old place" Back to the Garden maybe?
Souls that are "lost" must repent and Namaste before the Divinity and enter Heaven.
Dharma is the Way of the Higher Truths.
The “Dharma Initiative” was an attempt to somehow ”trap” the dharma wheel in one place to better understand the Seeds of Life
Various forms of "trees of life" appear in folklore, culture and fiction, often relating to immortality or fertility. These often hold cultural and religious significance to the peoples for whom they appear. For them, it may also strongly be connected with motif of the world tree.

Just before his demise Mr Eko is stumbling around the area above the Pearl station. He has refused to ask for forgiveness from the apparition of his brother. Before the black smoke appears there is a magnificent multi-branched tree in the background.
As the black smoke throws Eko around, does it make the sign of the cross with his body as if absolving him from his sins? |
