The Actor: Frank Torres 
Introduction: Gary Troup was a middle section survivor of Flight 815. He is the author of mystery novel Bad Twin and the controversial The Valenzetti Equation. Troup can be seen in the opening sequence of the Pilot episode being sucked into a turbine causing the engine to explode, killing him.
Who He Is: The man who was sucked into the turbine.

On the Island: Gary Troup was seen briefly in "Pilot Part 1". He walked by the turbine of the plane while it was running. Locke shouted at him to get away from it, but it was too late. He was sucked into it and blew up the turbine, which killed him. He was seen getting sucked into the turbine again in "Expose" in the view of Nikki and Paulo. He was in love with Cindy Chandler.
Books By Gary Troup: Gary Troup has made two books, Bad Twin and The Valenzetti Equation. The Valenzetti Equation talks about the equation and the mathematician Enzo Valenzetti. The book is out of print, and every single copy was bought by the Hanso Foundation.
