Occupation: Communications officer of the Kahana.

Hails from: Unknown.

Who he was before: During his time travelling, his conscious went to the past and present uncontrollably. At one time, he was on a ferris wheel. Before the Kahana started its mission, Minkowski greeted Kevin Johnson.

Who he is now: George Minkowski picked up the phone when Jack made contact with the boat after Charlie stopped the jamming signal in the Looking Glass. He was able to lock the coordinates of the location of the Island using the satellite phone. He later phoned back, asking where Naomi was at. Jack said she was gathering firewood, even though she was really stabbed with a knife by Locke.

Naomi later phoned Minkowski, after taking the phone from Kate. She adjusted the satellite phone so the signal on the Island could be fixed. Before dying, she said "tell my sister I love her", the code for that she was held hostage.

Minkowski and Brandon left the freighter by a raft in an attempt to reach the Island. However, Brandon started "acting crazy", forcing them to return to the ship. Brandon died as a result, and Minkowski started suffering the same symptoms he had, resulting in Regina answering the phone calls instead of him.

Sayid and Desmond arrived at the Kahana, with Desmond showing signs of having the "sickness" Minkowski had. He was taken to the sick bay, where Minkowski was restrained to a bed. When he found out Desmond had the same conscious time travelling problem, he offered to take him to the radio room to get in contact with Penny. They unstrapped Minkowski, and headed to the disabled radio room. His nose started bleeding, and struggled to stay in the right time. Not long after arriving at the radio room, he started experiencing convulsions, and muttered the words "I can't get back" , and died.
