The Others admire and are afraid of him. Jacob also summons people, not the other way around.
JacobHe lives in the four-toed statue.
The cabin must be his vacation home because Jacob has only been found in the statue of Taweret.
JacobHe visits the survivors.
Off the island, he visits and touches Kate, Locke, Sawyer, Jack, Jin, Sun, Sayid, and Hurley.
JacobHe warned Ben and the MIB.
His last words after being stabbed by Ben were, "They're coming."

JacobJacob can summon people, which begs the question of whether or not he brought Oceanic 815 to the island. The conversation between Jacob and the Man in Black is telling:

JACOB: I take it you're here because of the ship.
ENEMY: I am. How did they find the Island?
JACOB: You'll have to ask them when they get here.
ENEMY: I don't have to ask. You brought them here. Still trying to prove me wrong, aren't you?
JACOB: You are wrong.
ENEMY: Am I? They come. They fight. They destroy. They corrupt. It always ends the same.
JACOB: It only ends once. Anything that happens before that is just progress.
ENEMY: Do you have any idea how badly I want to kill you?
JACOB: Yes.
ENEMY: One of these days, sooner or later... I'm going to find a loophole, my friend.
JACOB: Well, when you do, I'll be right here.

If Jacob was supposed to be so good,why subject people to all of the lies and manipulate people? I don't get it, I think this was supposed to be some game of manipulation and lies or something between him and his brother, that he ended up getting other people involved in. Its all so ridiculous.
