Sawyer abandons the food allusions and starts to dig deep into his pop-culture database. And having just learned about Hurley's crush on Libby, he also sets himself up as Jabba's self-appointed wing man.

Jabba the Hutt is the belching, sluglike gangster that holds Han Solo captive in Return of the Jedi.

"I'm sure you've got a load you need to drop in, don't you, Jethro?"

Sawyer sees an opportunity for Hurley to arrange some alone-time with Libby and gives him the nudge, referencing this handsome but stupid ox of a man who frequently needs a smack upside the head.

Jethro Bodine is the beefy, dumb-as-a-post nephew of Jed Clampett on The Beverly Hillbillies.
