11/7/08: ABC has officially announced the premiere date for
Season 5 of
Lost. This season has a new timeslot: Wednesdays at 9PM. The premiere will air January 21st, and will be two hours long. There will also be a recap on the same day at 8PM.
9/21/08: Lost wins the
award for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (one hour) at the 2008 Emmy Awards.
Lost was nominated for a total of seven awards, and
Lost: Missing Pieces was nominated for an award. Since 2005,
Lost has accumulated
8 Emmy awards.
9/15/08: Lost in 2.0 starts airing on G4. These episodes are enhanced with on-screen facts and creator commentary. The episodes will start at "
Pilot: Part 1", and will eventually air all the episodes from all 6 seasons.
9/12/08: Daniel Dae Kim is given a $500 fine, $212 in court fees, 72 hours community service, and a six month suspension on his license after his DUI arrest on October 25, 2007. His blood-alcohol level was 0.168, which is twice the legal limit in the state of Hawaii.
7/24/08-7/27/08: The 2008 Comic-Con, held in San Diego, takes place.
Octagon Global Recruiting, a volunteer recruiting company run by the
Dharma Initiative will be present for the convention, located at Booth 3529.

7/17/08: Nominations for the 60th Emmy Awards were announced.
Lost has been nominated for seven
awards, which are the following: Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (
Michael Emerson), Outstanding Cinematography For A One-Hour Series, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Drama Series, Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score), Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series, and Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series (One-Hour).
6/30/08: The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has failed to renew its contract, which expired on this day. Many people are worried that this could ultimately create a strike similar to that of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike in November 2007-February 2008. A strike could cause delays in Season 5 of
Lost.
