Bio: Mira is an award-winning actress from the former Yugoslavia. She's married to director Goran Gajic, and they have one son, Marko, born in 1998. Mira and her Serbian-born husband emigrated from their home to escape threats of violence that arose from nationalistic tensions occurring during the Yugoslavia's division. She returned to Croatia for the first time 11 years later to perform the lead role in a production of Medea.

Before she left her home, she was a member of the Croatian National Theatre. She starred in more than 25 films, including Cannes' Palme d'Or winning "When Father Was Away on Business," as well as "Cyclops" and "The Beauty of Vice," both of which brought Mira the equivalent of a Yugoslavian Oscar (Golden Arena).

Mira's break in the United States came with the role of Ambassador Delenn in the Hugo-award winning science-fiction series Babylon 5. Remarkably, the story of Delenn mirrored that of Mira in many ways, which perhaps contributed to the power and depth of her portrayal. The series lasted five seasons, and Mira also starred in a number of the B5 television movies that aired during the run of the series.
