Mr. Eko is the only major character from Nigeria. Nigeria has a few connections to the island. The plane full of Virgin Mary statues came from Nigeria, and was later discovered to be connected to Mr. Eko himself. As a child, he lived in a small town, but was taken by guerrillas and became a drug warlord. He later became a priest.
