Oceanic 6 Press ConferenceThis is a featured page

Press ConferenceAfter the Oceanic 6 were brought to Honolulu, a press conference was held at a hanger at the airport. Karen Decker, the representative of Oceanic Airlines, hosted the conference. She explained where the plane crashed, and the events that followed. According to her, the plane crashed off the shore of an uncharted island called Membata, by the Sunda Trench near Indonesia. During their time on the Island, Kate gave birth to Aaron. 103 days after the crash, a typhoon washed up a fishing boat, which had basic survival equipment and a life raft. Then, on day 108, the Oceanic 6 came ashore on the beach of Manukangga, a village on the island of Sumba. She shows a picture of local villagers helping the survivors and states that the U.S. Coast Guard transported them to Honolulu.

After Karen Decker explained the story the press were allowed to ask questions to the survivors.
