Who he is: When Kate, Locke, and Sayid went to the barracks to rescue Jack, Ryan found them, and captured Kate and Sayid. He later supervised Sayid, who was bound to the swing set. Sayid started talking about Rousseau when Alex walked by, and Pryce told him to stop talking. Later, he discovered that Locke had gone to the submarine. He made Locke surrender, but suddenly, the submarine exploded.

Ryan Pryce became the man in charge of the group that was sent to invade the survivor's camp, capturing the pregnant women. What they did not know was that the camp was already abandoned, when Karl warned the survivors that the Others were coming. Sayid, Jin, and Bernard stayed behind to ambush them. The tents were rigged with dynamite. After the tents exploded, only Tom, Jason, and Pryce remained, but they managed to capture the three.


As morning came, the remaining Others held Sayid, Jin, and Bernard as hostages. Ben commanded Pryce and the rest of the Others to kill the survivors. Instead, they shoot three bullets into the sand, keeping them alive. Sawyer and Juliet arrived at the beach, but could not attack them, because they had no weapons. They heard a noise in the distance, and it was Hurley driving the Dharma van. Hurley ran over Pryce with the van, killing him.
