Interesting that when Charles tells eko He's going to get help and goes and doesn't get help. Also no one seems to ask what happened to the Swan station. Interesting that I don't see people jumping out of the helicopter. It just waddles back and forth then there is a man on the ground.

What if it is a Schrodinger Cat experiment in reverse. In this case the cat in the deadly box determines what happens outside the box. I find it interesting that people arrive on the island then they have memory of arriving on the island. Like before the island they did not exist.

Alright, here it goes. The "Lost" island is somewhere in the south pacific (leaving Australia, set for LA). Let's say (suspend reality for a minute) that the Bermuda Triangle is some crazy magnetic anomaly (maybe some kind of "black hole") that creates a wormhole to the other side of the Earth, the south Pacific. By this theory, something goes into the Bermuda Triangle, and winds up on the other side of the Earth. This would explain why Juliette departed from MIAMI, via submarine, and wound up in the South Pacific (and, yes, the Bermuda Triangle is just off the coast of Miami). So now for Atlantis. Some say that Atlantis may have been located around Bermuda (again, please suspend reality). The Bimini Road, found near the Bermuda triangle, is thought to be a remnant of Atlantis (google Bimini Road). This is my thought: Atlantis, because of the odd electromagnetism of the area (true magnetic anomalies in Bermuda Triangle), got sucked down, though some wormhole, and spit back out in the South Pacific. If the "wormhole" exhibits weird electromagnetic properties, that would explain the black rock found on the island, the electromagnetic phenomenon in the hatch, as well as the reason why compasses do not work (the bermuda triangle is one of the two only places on earth where compasses don't point north (well, geographic north) not to split hairs). So, if you were to try to navigate to the island, you couldn't detect it w/ a compass. A plane could get there, if it crashed. Also, this would be an explanation for the slave-trade ship found on the island (slave-trade ships voyaged through the Bermuda Triangle). I'm running out of room, so a few last points: Penny's workers detected SOMETHING they were looking for. And they were stationed someplace REALLY cold, like a POLE (s or n). I think the Widmores are looking for atlantis, and the poles are perhaps the only place to perceive the magnetic anomaly. I'm out of room, so post a reply if there's ANYTHING else

just another guess- jacob IS jacob , as in the bible....he fathered 12 sons and they are the "lost " tribes of israel...2 sons were named BENJAMIN AND DAN (as in daniel)...go ahead and google jacob and read the benjamin's mother died when giving birth (just like ben linus's mom) and his mane means "son of the right/ son f the south"..son of the right is the opposite of the left- which is evil...so ben has stated before that HE is the good one..and may turn out to be so...i am still investigating the biblical theme, but that's what i have so far..and jack and john are interchangeable names..as locke and sheppard are like the yin/yang faith/science...also the sheppard reference is biblical and locke may hold "the key" to something huge... i think it biblical!

Could it be that some government agency stumbled across the Lost City of Atlantis? That would explain the strange statues, and maybe at this point they also discovered a POWER on the island and ran experiments for years... the others could be the decendants of scientists long gone and are now a community of their own with their own agenda... As most of us know I'm sure, there really is a DARMA Initiative... it began in the 40's as a defense research branch of the US government... the symbols are very close to actual DARMA seals from decades ago.

Okay, so back whenever it was, Damon Lindelof said "There are no spaceships. There isn't any time travel,” Okay, so does that mean that what Desmond experienced is Time Travel? Lindelof also said (after "flashes before your eyes" had aired) that "~Desmond did indeed have that experience in the year 1996" (im paraphrasing) So does this mean that they have changed their mind as to whether time travel is plausible in the show or is it still NOT time travel. If someone could help me clear this up once and for all, i think it would REALLY help, not jsut in solving a mystery, but also in generally theorising about the show; pseudoscientifically, realistically or otherwise.

Lock is told to move the island. We must not think of this as actually moving the island. But moving it to a different position in time. With the electromagnets on the island it is very possible to open a new worm hole and shift the island to a new point in time. But how will that throw off everything else? Is it possible the move it to when the 815er's land on the island to make their rescue seem quick? Or do they move it so far ahead in time or in revers that there is actually civilization on the island (building reflection in water).
