The Galaga is a submarine that was owned by the Dharma Initiative before the Purge. It was used to travel to the Barracks, the Hydra, the Looking Glass, and the outside world.

Ben, along with the rest of the Dharma Initiative arrived on the Island via the Galaga. Mikhail also claimed to of arrived at the Island by the submarine. Juliet arrived at the Island on the submarine, although she thought she was going there by plane. She had to take a tranquilizer, and when she woke up, she was strapped to a bed. Ethan said that they needed to do that because of the roughness of the journey.

Locke infiltrated the Barracks, holding Ben and Alex hostage, and demands that he goes to the submarine. Ben says that the submarine is the only way of getting off the Island. He also says that he will get nothing accomplished if he destroys it, except keep Jack on the Island. Locke went into the submarine, and used the C4 explosives from the Flame to destroy the Galaga.

Later, Juliet is talking to Jack about it. They would of gotten off the Island together in the submarine. She wonders if Ben influenced Locke to destroy it, or if Locke really did blow it up.
