The Hydra is the largest station that is known, and is located on a separate island. The purpose was for zoological research on animals such as Polar Bears, Dolphins, and Sharks. The only way onto the island is by boat, or possibly submarine. This station is only one of two stations that are not hidden underground, the other is the Flame. When Jack, Kate, and Sawyer
were captured, Kate and Sawyer were held in cages, which used to be where the Polar Bears were kept, and Jack was held in an aquarium. Kate and Sawyer were forced to work in a quarry, breaking rocks. Juliet later said that they did that because they were building a runway. There is a surveillance room with six monitors that show live video of locations across the station. A room next to it was full of guns. Jack was told to do surgery on Ben. After Jack saw Kate and Sawyer together in the cage, he decides to do the surgery. Another section of the station is the deliberation room, where Juliet's trail took place after killing Danny Pickett.
