The Philadelphia Experiment
Anyone familiar with the Philadelphia Experiment? It used a magnetic field to make a ship invisible to radar, but the legend goes, the ship teleported. Mike was asked by one of the others if Walt ever appeared in places he shouldn't be. And Walt did appear to Shannon and to Siad, talking backwards. One of the others from last season carried a Lugar, which was a pistol used by the Germans in WWII. Recently one of the others had an AK-47. They don't seem to have modern weapons like the passengers of flight 815 do. Also, the flight seemed to have crashed because Desmond didn't push the button in time, a magnetic anomoly. They are likely no where near Austrailia. Could they have been teleported to a place that's hidden from "normal" equipment? Could the Hanso Foundation be part of the Philadelphia Experiment of 1943?

although i think they said it's been discredited by now,but your point on the weaponary of both "the others", "dharma" and "flight 815" is confusing at best from since they got there hands on "the hatch" they're own weapons cash has changed and disappeared constantly.
anyway to the point you mentioned "the others" using a "luger" and judging from what i saw as well your correct and as you've mentioned ak-47's ,and that the dates don't match. but looks at the other various weapons i've seen there definitly something more to this, in the fact that the weapons all date from wwII to 1970's. pistols: walter p38's, luger's, tt33's and various 9mm's rifles: Mosin-Nagant Carbine, SKS, psg-1 ,various ak-47's ,m14's, shotguns etc and even the kinfe which anna found has something about it. from the end of wwII the usa were locked in arms races against the soviet union during the cold war and seeings how the weapons "sort of" match that of the island i'm wondering if it something to do with this. |

Large magnetic force, island "cloaked" from prying eyes, Desmond's behavior on the last few episodes - yep, I think Dharma was experimenting with time travel or time manipulation. And genetic manipulation to try to extend life, abolish disease.... like, since sharks don't get cancer - figure out what strand of dna makes that possible and insert it into a developing human and end up with a human who can't get cancer - but who also has a really bad attitude and eats a lot! Among other things... but say the Others have been sent back in time, the Losties have been brought to the island purposely - because the Others are going to try to correct something that went wrong during the original Dharma project, of which the Losties are somehow related...

So Jacob seems to be from the Black Rock ship and that crashed when? Ben's buddy was there when Ben was a child (what's his name, Richard?) and he recruited Juliette, yet hasn't aged at all AND was wearing a pirate shirt when young Ben met him. The phone from the babe from the helicopter is advanced tech, she says the plane was found and everyone was dead, and there was a big deal made out of Drive Shaft and another record was released. A while back Ben shows Jack video of the Sox winning the world series and Jack is laughing, Ben seems troubled, like he made a mistake, he looks nervous. The others have very detailed records of everyone, how SOOO much detail is so short a time? Desomnd sees flashes of the future since the magnetic impulse explosion. So, it seems that shifts in time, anomalies in time, or out right time travel is happening.
It would be cool to discuss this, but only with people that want to discuss something, not idiot's making thoughtless comments. |
