Jack meets Kate in the Jungle and asks her to stitch him up.

Jack: Excuse me? Did you ever use a needle?
Kate: What?
Jack: Did you ever patch a pair of jeans?
Kate: I...I made the drapes in my apartment.
Jack: That's fantastic. Listen, do you have a second? I could use a little help here.
Kate: Help with what?
Jack: With this. Look, I'd do it myself. I'm a doctor, but I just can't reach it.
Kate: You want me to sew that up?
Jack: It's just like the drapes.
Kate: No, with the drapes, I used a sewing machine.
Jack: No, you can do this. I'm telling you! If you wouldn't mind.
Kate: Of course I will.
Jack: Thank you.

Jack finds Kate's mugshot while dealing with the seriously dying Marshal, assumes she's a murderer and yells at her like a jerk. Kate offers to tell him what she did when Jack calms the freak down but he tells her she doesn't have to.
Jack: "It doesn't matter, Kate, who we were, what we did before this... before the crash. It doesn't really... Three days ago, we all died. We should all be able to start over. "

After a brief conversation with Charlie, a disturbed Kate was found by Jack and he angrily confronted her for leaving the Hatch, and scoffed at her apology. Kate fired off an angry retort and tried to leave, but Jack physically restrained her, and she unexpectedly kissed him. Shocked over her actions, Kate fled into the jungle, leaving a baffled Jack in her wake. What Kate Did")

Kate and Jack have a moment where she tells him she’s sorry for kissing him. He says “I’m not.” They move in to kiss again, and Michael interrupts them. Damnit!

Caught in a Net
"S.O.S."
Jack and Kate get caught in one of Rousseau’s traps. They are stuck together in a compromising position as they try to find a way to escape. When they get the net to fall, Jack holds onto Kate so she’s on top of them when they hit the ground. How sweet!

"Live Together, Die Alone"
Jack, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley find themselves ambushed by The Others. Kate then gets the dart, stumbles and falls. Jack shoots at the Others, lifts up Kate and tries to carry her. However, Jack, gets shot, but he still tries to shield Kate from the others before passing out.

Season 3

"I do"
Jack halts Ben's surgery and gets Kate on the Walkie talkie and tells her to run. She says she can't leave without her and he yells "Damnit Kate, Run!" Oh yeah, and she can take Sawyer too, but he probably would rather she not.

"Through the Looking Glass"
Jack tries to make Kate feel better about Sawyer going back to the beach without her. Kate's skeptical of Sawyer's motives, but Jack tells her that Sawyer said that because he wanted to protect Kate, which is the same reason why he asked Kate not to come back for him in Othersville. Kate asks Jack why he's sticking up for Sawyer, and Jack...oh, Jack. He pauses for a moment, then, as if to lay it all on line for this woman, sweetly tells her, "because I love you," smiles a little, then walks away. SQUEE!! His naked honesty floors Kate, and us, by the way, as she's left to ponder what it could all mean. Can somebody please smack her upside the head? Lolz...

As they walk through the jungle, Jack sees that Kate is sitting with her shoe off. "You okay?" he asks her. "Yeah, I just got a rock in my shoe," she says. He squats next to her. "He didn't mean it, you know." "What?" "Sawyer. When he said he didn't want you to go with him, he didn't mean it." "If he didn't mean it, why did he say it?" "He was trying to protect you. That's why I asked you not to come back for me." He gets up. "Hey." She gets up. "Why are you sticking up for Sawyer? He'd never do it for you."

As Jack and Kate are en route back to a civilization he tells Kate that they will have to lie in order to protect the remaining survivors they've left behind on the island. When he asks Kate if she's with him in convincing the rest of the O6 of this necessary move, Kate, in a crazy, unheard-of definitive move, unequivocally tells him, "I've always been with you," complete with weepy eyes and reassuring smile.

After Jack asked Kate to hold a mirror so he could watch his own appendectomy. When Jack started suffering from the pain, Kate started crying. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

Jack lies to the judge at Kate’s trial and tells the judge he doesn’t love Kate. He tells her later after the trial that he didn’t mean it. She asks him by for a visit and he declines because he doesn’t want to see Aaron.


Season 4, Ep 10
Episode Reference: "Something Nice Back Home"
Kate and Jack are living together! We get a shower scene and a bedroom scene! Ta-da!
After seeing Hurley. Jack Proposes to Kate. She accepts.
Jack is very emotional and says, "The other night, when I was reading to Aaron, you said I was a natural. Do you really, do you really think that I'm good at this?"
"Yeah. You're good at this."
"Will you marry me?" He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a case with a diamond ring in it.
With tears rolling down her face, Kate says, "Yes."
He slides the ring on her finger.
"Of course I will," she says. "Yes."


They have a big fight:
"It doesn't matter, Jack."
"Tell me!"
"I was doing something for him."
"For who?"
"For Sawyer. I made him a promise."
Jack shakes his head. "What?"
"It doesn't matter! It has nothing to do with us!"
"Then why won't you tell me?"
"Because he wouldn't want me to."
"But he's not here, is he? No, he made his choice. He chose to stay. I'm the one who came back. I'm the one who's here. I'm the one who saved you."
"Jack, you can't do this. If you have problems, you need to figure them out. Because I can't have you like this around my son!"
"Your son? You're not even related to him!"
Aaron walks out and Kate goes to him and hugs him.

A drug-ridden Jack meets Kate at LAX and he tries to convince her to go back to the island. She looks amazing.
