actually magnetism and gravity are two different things, although they are similar. Magnetism is caused by direction the electrons are rotating, when all the electrons in the same object are rotating the same way the object is magnetized. With gravity there are many different theories about how it works (the most prominent being gravity is caused by massless particles called gravitons), but there is no definite answer to what gravity is. Therefore to our knowledge, gravity and magnetism are not he same thing

Your saying that the Valenzetti equation could be an equation to predict the outcome of anything? This is incorrect, the valenzetti equation only gives the exact year that humans will extinguish themselves. When you refer to an equation that can predict everything you a refering to Einstien's unified field theory, which was never finished due to it's complexity. Dharma was doing expirements to see if they could alter the core numbers of the valenzetti equation thus extending the time that people can survive on this planet.

I think that what you're sayin about dharma could be true, but if we think about ther story of the one eyed russian than I think we should see the others as not being from the dharma initiative!

The fact that they have up-to-date, live communication (at least, one way communication) weakens the theory that the Others falsely believe that there is a world-wide epidemic.

I don't have time at the moment to make any edits, but this article has been made a little TOO speculative I think... A wiki is supposed to be informative, and currently this entry is completely filled up with a verbose version of one person's theory. Also, if we're doing a standard-ish wiki, you shouldn't sign your entries.

I agree with the previous reply that speculation is okay here. Just because it's a wiki doesn't mean we have to follow wikipedia's rules, and in fact, we are discussing theories about what will happen later in the show (like season 8 or whatever), so it is all speculation. I would like to see the page edited though (and no time, here, either, I'm supposed to be working right now ;-) ). I think the page should be broken down to the main equation theory with a section for additional, but related ideas (the humans -> animals thing, how the EM field and the button fit in, etc.)

I'm going to be hoest, I like this a lot, it makes a lot more sense that a lot of things I've heard so far, although the animals -> humans thing is a bit far fetched.

You're right. I wrote this thing at like 4 AM one Saturday Night. I was dead tired. I should have seperated that side note for another speculative theory.
