I have my own theory about Lost. i think that the two islands were a one part in the past. the cages where was sawyer and kate kept were the cages of polar beras,the horses and the black smoke.The other were scientist or guards of the animals and they made lots of experiments on animals to make some kind of super animals or to make new breeds.or they wanted to raise they're knowledge to make smart animals like a movie "The blue sea" where people made sharks who finally grow stmarter than humans and they made a plan and so on. And the machine where sawyer got his fish biscuits was to raise they're knowledge ,so called " if you want food you have to solve the crossword". So the animals got their food over there and finally they got out of cages and the black smoke was in the beginnig only a chemical thing what was mixed with an different chemical thing because someone made a mistake so the black smoke made a quite big earthquake and so the island was teared appart in two pieces and all the animals were free and the black smoke made somekind of cover over island so nobody can go out but they can come in,like when the plane crashed but in season two when walt and michael went awat with a boat they reached the the cover,like a invisible bubble over the island and when you reached inside you are killed but when you come in you are not killed. the hedge was just a place to hide when something went wrong,like the animals turned vilonce but when the island was tearred appart they couldn't go there and some time the animals terrorised them.But the earthquake make the other world a litttle bit messy too and there was a little earthquake too but the island got so big puounc so the time stopped for others outside the world ,but the island people lived on ,only the other people not on the island was like drugged so they lived on llike in the dream.In the hedge,pushing the button is just for that ,that the bubble would stay on on the island,but the peaople on plane didn't know that they are keeping themselves on the island not the others. the others know that but they cannot go to the hedge cause of the plane people and so the made a choice that they wouldn't tell that nobody because when the bubble is gone they think that the people of plane would bring every kind of scientiost here to make expirements and so ,like a caos would happen. And steeling childs from the people is just to raise scientist who would follow the work and keep the secrets and so on or they want to make experiments too.,just like whit the animals.
The plane was crashed only because of that ,that the black smoke ( the first one,who started the animal thing) got some kind of a flu from reaching the bubble and so another black smoke was burn and the other died,so the baby black smoke is just exploring the island and it doesn't know why is he here for.
In the begginig before the island was made a experiment world ,some people from every country from world wanted to make other theories true and wanted to make new breeds or see what's going to happen deside to make two islands what the heads of all the countries have kept in secret for centuries so that's why the island is not in the map.
the food what they get ,which is dropped from the sky,is from the states of heads ,they know taht a plane was hedding towars there,over the siland so they made some kind of electricity force so the plane wouldn't find the island ,because they would be killed.So they bring some food every month to them to just keep them alive till they die, but The others figured out that so they want to overplay them and because of that they keep they're breed alive,steeling children and makeing clones of them.
Ok,that was really srange theory,but do you think it makes a little bit sense to you??
