It's evident that Charles Widmore has something to do with the Dharma initiative. Being the multimillionaire he is couldn'y he have created the Hanso Foundation under the alias "Alvar Hanso" for the sole purpose of funding the dharma intiative? he would then hide his involvement under layers of deceit.
