The Unknown
Mar 14 2008, 1:05 PM EDT What I think may have have happened to Jin is that they told him that Sun was dead and that they told him she was dead. That's why they showed him getting the Panda at the same time as Sun was giving birth. 0 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: The Unknown
Mar 14 2008, 4:04 PM EDT That is one good theory that I like. But Jin seemed to be working for Sun's dad (unless I misread the name of the person from whom he was delivering the panda). So did he go back to the same job after they got back from the island, or was that a flashback? People recognized Sun as a member of the Oceanic Six, but not Jin. So maybe Jin's was a flashback? Mar 14 2008, 7:18 PM EDT Jin's was definitely a flashback, he told the nurse on the way out of the hospital that he had only been married 2 months. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: The Unknown
Mar 15 2008, 3:08 AM EDT definitely a flashback, remember the shop keeper told him that is was the year of the dragon - that was 2000. this means that we have seen no evidence that Jin is in the O6. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: The Unknown
Mar 15 2008, 6:09 AM EDT And Jin's gravestone said 22nd Sep 2004, the date of the crash. So he has died before being rescued and therefore was recorded as dying in the crash, probably out of necessaity as part of whatever the cover up may be. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: The Unknown
Mar 21 2008, 5:22 PM EDT Jin isn't dead. At least, that's what I'm predicting. Since the date on Jin's grave is obviously false, and the Oceanic 6 seem to have lied about nearly every aspect of their time on the island, it's clear that, if nothing else, they lied about HOW and WHEN Jin died. Which raises the question as to whether he actually died at all. The gravestone may just be part of their collective cover-up (which would put a different spin on WHY Sun visits his grave). If he were alive -- left behind on the island with Claire, Locke, Desmond, etc. -- then it might explain why Sun would call out for someone to find her husband during the emotional throes of labor pain. The series still has a ways to go, so I think the writers are leaving lots of doors open. And clearly, they've left a door wide open for Jin here. Do you find this valuable? |
