May 21 2008, 10:03 PM EDT The enhanced episode of "Cabin Fever" said "Ben's mother was also named Emily". They are not brothers. To prove this, we know Ben's mother died giving birth, but Locke's mother is still alive in the present. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Ben and Locke
May 22 2008, 9:42 AM EDT while i agree with #1 (the episode said they have the same name - not that they were the same person), i think there's a possibility that ben and locke are brothers. it wouldn't shock me one bit. 1. both of their mother's names are Emily. it could be nothing, but i refuse to beileve that the producers paid maticulous attention to detail throughout the entire series and just 'overlooked' this without a reason. 2. i don't think there would have been a mention of it in the enhanced episode if it wasn't important. 3. Lockes dad was a con man. THE con man. Do we thing it's completely unlikely that Locke's dad hired a crazy person to pretend to be his mother? Especially if he knew that she was really dead? He planned out the whole thing and took his KIDNEY and we think it's impossible that perhaps he lied about THAT? just a thought. i'm shaking thinking about 2 hours of insanity next week! 2 out of 2 found this valuable. To prove this, we know Ben's mother died giving birth, but Locke's mother is still alive in the present. "How do we know she is still alive? Because Locke hadn't sene her for years. Then he hires a private eye to find out if this woman who comes to him is his real mother. He tells him yes, and a DNA match is positive, and then CONVENIENTLY slides a dossier of his real father to him. (This was episode 1.19, http://abc.go.com/primetime/lost/index?pn=recap#t=38115&d=40651). Remember his dad was a rich CONMAN, and could have hired someone to pretend she was his mother, then paid off the private eye after he found out which one Locke went to. All a big con to get Locke to give up his kidney. We do his Locke's mother in the hospital after he was born, so we know she survived his childbirth. However, Locke is obviously older than Ben, and thus the mother still could have died giving birth to Ben at a later date. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 14 2008, 11:22 AM EDT "We know that she was still alive when Locke was an adult with hair!"Right, we know that someone came to Locke that he believed was his mother. I think BigRollTide's point was that the person we see Locke with as an adult may possibly have been pretending to be his mother. Do you find this valuable? |

Was there any doubt that the woman was definately his mom or not? If there is no doubt that it is his mom, then that destroys Philly's and my theory. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Ben and Locke
Jun 20 2008, 1:03 PM EDT it said in the episode that the DNA was 99% sure that they were realted..so yeah that's pretty close..and ben and locke's mom look NOTHING alike..it just doesn't make sense..and the mom in the flashback and the mom that they show finding Locke in the toystore look alike.. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Ben and Locke
Jun 20 2008, 2:22 PM EDT The DNA test was for his dad right? Not the mom...and if it was for his mom, didn't the DNA test results come from a private eye? That guy could have been paid off by Locke's dad and the DNA test to me wouldn't prove anything becuase of that. His dad is a big con and would have pulled out all the stops to make sure that the con worked out...he needed a kidney to stay alive. If they look alike 20 years apart, that doesn't mean too much to me. Al Pacino doesn't look anything at all like he did in the Godfather I lol. But you still didn't answer the question -- was there no doubt at all to Locke that that was his mom? It does make sense that someone would show up at just the right time for Locke to give his kidney away for his dad. Do you find this valuable? |
