Mr. X (Man in black - Jacob's nemesis)

You speak about Jacob - the person by this point in Lost can only be one person, and that is Esau. Their father was Isaac, who I believe is Richard. (Maybe not Richard, but I believe he is. Who else has not aged?) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Maybe Isaac will appear in Season 6, right? I just keep thinking that Richard was on the Black Rock Ship & Jacob saw he was good and gave him eternal youth and had him stay on the island to deliver messages to the Others and also bring to the island people who Jacob wanted there....like maybe...Juliet, for example. I am begkinning to believe that Ilana is Rebekca, their mother. She is the one who put the wool on Jacob so Isaac (who was blind) thought it was Esau. She helped Jacob steal the first born blessing. Since she wrapped Jacob up, why wouldn't he do that in return, and to help him. God also went ahead and fulfilled Isaac's birthright, Esau never got it. This was the beginning of the Jews (Jacob) and the Muslims(Esau). They will all show up in season 6. But the war will be against the followers of Jacob and the followers of Esau. Just like it is now.

I just read this thread subject and I have to say .... these two women on this thread are incredible!! .... Oh, I didn't notice, it's me and Marti...? Anyway, back to the subject, I think Marti was right from the beginning and the MIB is Esau!! ..... I don't know why, but I always had a feeling that on the Black Rock Ship had Muslims on it and I always thought Richard was on that ship too... I know the Lost producers wanted someone on the show from Iraq and I think Season 6 is going to be Biblical and it is going to be Jews, Muslims, Christians and maybe even more religions. I hope they show Richard's backstory and Jacob, Ilana and everyone else who's past wasn't revealed...I really hope we find out what Libby's past was too. By the way, when Mathew Fox who plays Jack was being interviewed about the upcoming of season 6, he didn't say much...but he did say what you said..."It's going to be epic." :D

First of all, I have added another UTube. Besides Richard, they are going to (for sure) go through their back ground. They have all ready done Libby. There is not going to be much back story except for those two. By the way, another question -- do you think that Jack is better looking than Sawyer? I think that Jack looks like a dork and Sawyer looks more my type. (Me, and my old visions - he looks like my ex-husband)

Well, first of all, I think that Sawyer is gorgeous and there is no comparison between him and Jack...sorry Jack, your not ugly but he doesn't do much for me. Sawyer has those sexy eyes, those dimples and that smile. I love all his different looks. When he is mad, I love that look in his eyes. When he is happy, I also love that look in his eyes. I was just watching him on youtube on the James Ford page...I didn't know you had him on that page. Loved it...like I said Sawyer looks different depending on his mood and what is going on in his life..but every look is gorgeous. Jack had two looks, tha t boring plain face with no expression in his eyes look and the look with the beard and I didn't like that so much............They did some of Libby, but we never got to know alot of what her story and past is all about ..like why she was in Santa Rosa. But if they are going to do flashbacks on Richard and Jacob, that would be great. I want to know their stories!!!

Chamara - you don't have to be gay to appreciate a nice looking man. For heavens sake, we see women that we think are hot all the time. That is when you are secure with your sexuality. Which, you must be! Great for you!!

I am glad you agree :D Sometimes I feel bad for Jack though because most of the fans don't like him as much as the other characters. I like him, but Sawyer is better looking. Jack could be too serious sometimes, that is why one time when Jack was walking toward Sawyer...Sawyer said..."Here comes Dr. Giggles. Sayid is serious, but his past torments him, I would say more than Jack...but who am I to say who feels more tormented in their mind. Jack didn't have it so easy either. I mean he fixes that woman's spine marries her and I think when she divorced him she really was very cold about it. I also think Jack carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. Also, the only reason he removed Ben's tumor was to save Kate and Sawyer and that was heroic on my part. He loves Kate and knew that if he didn't operate on Ben they were gonna kill Sawyer, he did it for his love for Kate and I also think he did it because deep down he really likes Sawyer and would help him. I think he would of done anything to help his fellow survivors and always felt guilty when he couldn't help.

i think you are right :) and if we say that jack felt that kate loved him and then he saw them in the cages, so you can see he is a great man because if you saw you husband or wife in bet with somebody else then i think you woulden't forgive him/her ´but jack did care more about them, that for himself

I know that it is not the same to compare a wife or husband but i diden't know ahat else :)

When Jack was going to do the operation on Ben, he did what he did for Kate. He had no intention of letting Sawyer go, but Kate made sure he left with her. That's when I disliked Jack the most. He didn't care about Sawyer at all. Just Kate. Do you find this valuable?

Now I have to watch these episodes again, thanks Marti!! From what I remember, the only reason he worked on Ben was because Jack saw Kate and Sawyer together and Jack knew she loved Sawyer..so he did the operation to help her and he put his feelings of love for Kate aside to help them, I thought it was to help both of them, not just Kate.

Remember, before Jack agreed to operate, Kate came down and talked to Jack through the glass? Jack insisted he would stay and wondered if they had hurt her. At one point in their conversation she was crying and asked Jack why they should leave without him, and Jack asked her what she was afraid of, and her response was "Because they are going to kill Sawyer." Then when Jack and Kate made their plans for her to get out of there, and Jack cut Ben's kidney sack. He gave someone to get Kate out. (This WAS after they made love and Jack saw them.) Never once did Jack say to Kate, to take Sawyer with her. He just wanted her to follow his directions. He mentioned nothing about Sawyer. That gave me the idea that he wanted her safe, but he wanted Sawyer killed. Remember how jealous Jack is? Do you find this valuable?

Yes, Jack is totaly jealous of Sawyer and it was so apparent in Season 5 that I liked Jack better on the island. Remember how mad he was that Kate did something for Clementine and it was a secret she made to Sawyer to never tell anyone...when kate and Jack were living together and he came home and got mad that she wouldn't tell him what she was doing for Sawyer..I was glad she kicked him out or he left, whatever. I still believe Kate and Sawyer belong together!! But to defend Jack...I really don't know why he changed his mind to do the surgery for Ben...was it to get off the island because he was so jealous of seeing Kate and Sawyer together or was it because he did the operation to help Kate because Jack knew Kate loved Sawyer... hear me out...In "A Tale Of Two Cities"...Jack asked where are my friends, not just where is Kate. Then if you watch "Not In Portland"....as soon as Jack was talking to Kate on the walkie talkie, Jack said to Kate.."You got an hour head start, take the walkie, take Sawyer and go."....then later on when they were safe and Juliet gave Kate the walkie talkie to talk to Jack, Jack said..something like "So your safe, Kate said "yes", then Jack said, Sawyer's safe?" Kate said "yes". Then Jack said good go and promise me Kate to never come back here. So he did seem to want Sawyer out of there too, what his motive was for changing his mind for Ben is what is questionable about him on my part because I know he changed his mind after seeing Kate and Sawyer together.
