desmond cant leave
Oct 21 2006, 9:44 PM EDT as desmond says in part one of 'live togethor die alone' he sailed for 2 and a half weeks and should have at least been in fiji by then, but he keeps returning to the island, i dont beleive the island is purgatory or the last place on earth as the others state in season 3 they have acsess to the outside world, so when desmond got to the island, some one could have put a special magnetic thing in his boat to make it keep coming back- maybe all the boats there hav this so they cant leave [ apart from the others] because i remember in some episode, something about magnetic feilds atracting people to the island....................... 15 out of 19 found this valuable. Oct 26 2006, 11:12 AM EDT That is a possiblity. I think that Henry (the leader of the Others) has kept them all there just so he could capture Jack. Because he wants Jack to operate on him and take out the tumor on his spine. Then he will take Jack, or maybe Kate, or maybe just himself back to America and leave everybody else on the island, that way no one can ever tell anyone what he has done to all of these people; and what he has made them do to each other. I also wonder if the asian doctor on the instruction reel is on the island, and I wonder if he is giving instructions to Henry. I thought I might have saw him on the boat on the Finale of season 2 when Henry comes to tell Hurley he can go. I thought it would be the asian doctor that got off the boat. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Dec 22 2006, 9:52 PM EST i think the same thing happened to desmond as when he crashed on the island. it only makes sense. however he crashed there happened again when he tried to leave. Do you find this valuable? |

Jan 28 2007, 4:40 AM EST I think the boat was already rigged with a 'special magnetic thing', and given to Desmond from Libby (who was working for Whitmore) in order for him to be sucked in by the island whilst on the boat race. All because Whitmore wanted him away from his daughter. His daughter Penny found out about this, afterall she said something on the lines of I can find anybody with enough money to Desmond. If Whitmore is connected to Alvar Hanso then this would make sense, i think. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
