There's one island?
Nov 17 2006, 1:30 PM EST The first scene with Ben watching Flight 815 falling from th sky, Ben sends two of the others to go-'You can get there in __minutes'. How can they cross that distance in the water? Also, couldn't Ben have shown Sawyer a different island all together, but still be standing on The Main Island where the crash happened, and where the others live. 7 out of 9 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: There's one island?
Nov 20 2006, 7:14 PM EST Wouldn't Sayid and the Koreans have noticed another island? I find it hard to believe that while sailing around the island, they didn't once look away from the shore. But perhaps they didn't go all the way around. Just how big is the island, anyway? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: There's one island?
Nov 27 2006, 12:33 PM EST Nobody knows how big the island is... if they are all on the same island, and the others are somewhere unknown, they could have a view of the other island that the losties don´t have. But if they are on different islands, Ethan and the other guy could have reached the losties island in no time running throught tunnels between the islands, and polar bears are good swimmers... Jan 8 2007, 3:01 PM EST "the others primary home could be on the main isalnd while the whole detention facility could be on the other smaller island."The others could have 2 homes, one on mainland and 1 on the island "twice the size of alcatraz". Kate + sawyers island could be an island in which they carry out experiments?!? (And why does every1 keep saying that the hydra is on kate and sawyers island? it's underwater, juliet says so! RE: There's one island?
Jan 19 2007, 2:29 AM EST Actually, Ben says that he could get to the shore in one hour. That's in respose to the person saying the tail might have landed in the water. The interesting part is that when they show the crash sites, on is on the shore and on is further inland. This would mean that the tail that fell off actually flew further than the front of the plane that still had the engines attached. Not likely unless the view of the village that is shown is not where the others were. I think the others saw the crash from the opposite side of the island, and the small village they show, as the camera zooms out, is another village on a second island. If this is true, Lock and Syede (sp?) could find the first village, which would be empty. The captive village may be the one on the second island. The only question is, why couldn't the survivors see the second island from where their crash site is? Do you find this valuable? |

Jul 18 2007, 7:49 AM EDT "The first scene with Ben watching Flight 815 falling from th sky, Ben sends two of the others to go-'You can get there in __minutes'. How can they cross that distance in the water? If you look closely you will see that it is a different type of aircraft to flight 815.Only 2 engines (poorly CGI'd Boeing 767 I think)instead of the 3 engines of the TriStar.Maybe this was not intentional and a cock up by the art department,or there have been more crashes that we don't know about.Seeing as everything needs to be closely watched in the show I will be disappointed if they made a simple mistake like that.Anyone got any ideas?
