Clearing up the Philadelphia Experiment Theory

I'm not saying anyone was sent back in time. I'm suggesting that the people that created the Philadelphia Experiment, which has elements of electromagnetics, teleportation and time travel, are related to the Hanso Foundation. How old is Hanso? Could he have been on the ship that was made "invisable"? Could this whole island have been an experiment that STARTED in WWII and the work made some sudden progress in the late 60's calling for the establishment of Dharma?
Also, one of the Others carried a Lugar, which is a pistol used in WWII by the Nazis, why is this on the island? Where did it come from?
All the characters are of an age where their grandparents could have been involved in the Philadelphia Experiment, and that is why their lives are essentially laid out for them. This could date back decades, and they all could be in the near future. How else could the others have such extensive files on them? Showing a video tape of the Sox winning, for a moment Ben seemed unsure of himself, like he made a mistake, did he think he made the tape of the wrong year to show Jack?
