Walt and Michael won't come back

Why won't they come back...because the character who plays Walt is going to be noticeably older in the later seasons, I thought he even looked a lot taller and older at the end of season two. They won't be able to bring them back for this reason, and its the same reason the other children are taken out of the show. Claire's baby gets to stay simply because you can find similar looking babies to put on the show.

The writers may have the age thing in mind.
This could have been their plan from the begining, the writers and producers have had large story archs that are just now being seen(Claire is Jacks' half-sister).
There are some things on the show that are fluid and move in and out.
Other plot devices are part of a larger and greater plan.
Walt could have aged due to being off the island, the island could exist in a time bubble.
Who knows? Only the producers.
And the producers (Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) have suggested that we haven't seen the last of them.

It has been stated by the producers, I can't remember where and im not just "messing" with people here, that either Walt or Michael will reappear before the end of season 3.
