Question about style
Apr 10 2007, 6:06 PM EDT Can one use formatting in comments? I'd love to <i>italicize</i> things but I don't know if it works. (I guess I will when I click "Post") Because of this, I often CAPITALIZE words for emphasis when commenting. Is this okay, rules-wise? Also, is it okay if we call ourselves stupid? :-P -L.A. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Question about style
Apr 10 2007, 6:07 PM EDT I guess it doesn't work. That, or I'm using the wrong tags... -L.A. Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Question about style
Apr 11 2007, 7:10 PM EDT As you've seen, HTML tags don't work in comments. The capitalizing in comments is okay... formatting is much more lax in comments. I prefer putting asterisks around something for emphasis, but that's a personal thing. And sure... you can call yourself stupid if you want, as long as it's not some veiled way of saying it about someone else ;-) Do you find this valuable? |

RE: Question about style
Apr 12 2007, 9:57 PM EDT I would never be so mean. The closest I get to yelling at someone is when they post with no regard to spelling, grammar, and punctuation, expecting everyone to slog through it to read their *obviously* earth-shattering thoughts on the show. >.< And even then I try to convey my frustration as politely as possible. I think last time I just quietly suggested a few spelling lessons. You shouldn't have any trouble from me. :-) Thank you! -L.A. Do you find this valuable? |
