Question about style
Apr 10 2007, 6:06 PM EDT
Can one use formatting in comments?

I'd love to <i>italicize</i> things but I don't know if it works. (I guess I will when I click "Post")

Because of this, I often CAPITALIZE words for emphasis when commenting. Is this okay, rules-wise?

Also, is it okay if we call ourselves stupid? :-P

I guess it doesn't work. That, or I'm using the wrong tags...

As you've seen, HTML tags don't work in comments. The capitalizing in comments is okay... formatting is much more lax in comments. I prefer putting asterisks around something for emphasis, but that's a personal thing.

And sure... you can call yourself stupid if you want, as long as it's not some veiled way of saying it about someone else ;-)

I would never be so mean. The closest I get to yelling at someone is when they post with no regard to spelling, grammar, and punctuation, expecting everyone to slog through it to read their *obviously* earth-shattering thoughts on the show. >.< And even then I try to convey my frustration as politely as possible. I think last time I just quietly suggested a few spelling lessons.

You shouldn't have any trouble from me. :-)

Thank you!
