May 16 2007, 2:57 PM EDT The others can't age and that is why Ben had to be wait to join the group to be their leader. They were waiting for someone to hear the voice of Jacob and knew that Ben was special. They aren't afraid of dying because that is what many of them are waiting for...death. That is why a baby can't be born to them because they are all too old though outwardly they don't look like it. They need young breeders to sustain them. That is why they are stealing children etc. Do you find this valuable? |

May 19 2007, 12:28 AM EDT Thank you! You have been the first person I have run across to suggest that Ben is special because of the connection he has with the Island. I have the bleaf that this is what made Ben the 'leader'. And why he was spared from the purge. Because he seemed to be made leader right off after the purge. But Ben seems to have lost his connection with the Island........ Do you find this valuable? |
