Greek?hmm...maybe..

If we take into consideration the “purgatory” or Hell theory then,
It could be a statue of a Cyclop.
In Greek mythology, Cronus feared the Cyclopes' power and cast them into Tartarus (the place of punishment in the underworld) where they remained imprisoned until Zeus (an Olympian and son of Cronus) released them. Also they say that Cyclops had 4 toes on one foot and 3 on the other.

Or it could be something like Tálos. In Greek mythology, Tálos was a bronze automaton whom Zeus gave to Europa. Europa took him to Crete and he stayed there, circling the island's shore three times daily while guarding it. He threw rocks at any approaching ship. Talos is said to have heated himself red-hot and clasped strangers in his embrace as soon as they landed on the island.
Maybe it was something like the “black smoke”.

And maybe it’s nothing, maybe it means nothing at all.. i don’t know...i think that any of this would be too much.

It’s not Atlantis, i don’t believe that! maybe they wanted to make the new Atlantis
but still, it sounds too much... :/
