May 28 2007, 8:04 AM EDT There is a book, Lost Horizon, in which a place called "Shangri-La" is found by survivors of a plane crash in the Himalayas. It is a beautiful valley where no one ages, all people rise to their best potential, life is bliss. Has anyone else read it? The survivors eventually leave the valley - one is intent on nothing else but leaving - and go back to their lives. However, one guy spends the rest of his life trying to get back to Shangri-la because he realizes it was the best ever place for him. He does succeed. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
